I presume everyone knows that that weekend is Columbus Day. It's Walking
Weekend in eastern CT too, I believe.

Mark, are you sure that Columbus Weekend isn't the second weekend of
October? It usually falls on the Monday closest to the 15th....

Yes I am. My kids have soccer tournaments Columbus Day Weekend.
